Would like to put forth an idea or theory on drying out a whaler. First make escape openings in the deck and bottom of the hull. Enclose the entire boat with or without trailer in an air tight container. Let's say wrap it in a huge sheet of plastic sealing all seams with duct tape. In side the enclosure put a portable dehumidifier. If it does not have an external drain hose you may have to install one attached to the catch bucket. Plug it in and let it run 24-7 for days-weeks- months or what ever it takes. A portable dehumidifier can remove 50+ pints of water per day. The smaller the contained area the better. It must air tight. What say you all?

Ralph,

I have tried this idea when I rebuilt me floor. I used it to try and dry out the foam around the fuel tank. I put large diameter it the foam to expose even great surface areas and still it barely worked. If it did not work for a huge area of exposed foam I doubt it would work on a glassed hull with holes.
