Sorry this has nothing to do about Whalers except for the pictures refered to of Boston Whaler.
What am I doing wrong? Every time I go to a photobucket link I see avatar size pictures (i.e. 1"x 1") on a 15" or larger screen. This really bothers me as I like to see the details better.
I never have this when somebody puts up a Flickr, or Google, or personal page, or specific web link up for pictures I only get this with photobucket. Do I need to be a registered member of PB in order to see full page or at least larger pictures?
Please advise.

No need to register (it won't change anything), I believe it is due to the particular link the person posting uses. I could be wrong but that is my best guess.

Here is my personal take on all those free photo sites.
Forget them. Too many advertisements for the rest of us to endure.
Do your own on your own provided space. Almost all of you have a free FTP site with your subscription with your ISP. You pay for that.
Why not use it?
AOL photos has left
Yahoo photos has left
Free photos sites come and go.
Why waste your time on something that might be gone tomorrow?
Use what you pay for.
This way you have full control and no advertisements for the rest of us to suffer through.

You are on the Mobile version instead of the Web version of Photobucket. It happened to me when I clicked on someones mobile ver link, then every link for everyone else was then mobile ver.
I forget what I did to change it back to web version. There is a setting/link somewhere, maybe right click on something?

I agree with Joe. We all have lots of space with our ISPs, why not use it? Most people are not even aware of this.

Here are a couple of examples of what you can do with your own photos on your own space that you have with your ISP.
1. This one may be more complicated then you prefer but just to show you some ideas.
http://users.sisqtel.net/jkriz/fishin...shing.html
Note: to view static photos, click on the date button.
To view quicktime movies, click on some of the photos.
Also not the scrolling text on the status bar at the bottom of your browser if your browser is set to show the status bar.
2. This one is easy to do but still may be more then you want or need
http://users.sisqtel.net/jkriz/whaler...alers.html
Click on a photo or the link below the photo to view more photos of that particular boat.
3. This is the simplest:
Upload your photos to your folder on your ISP.
Put a link to any photo you want to show here like this:
http://users.sisqtel.net/jkriz/drawings/Emigrant_Lake.jpg
but without the spaces above so it would look like this:
http://users.sisqtel.net/jkriz/drawin...t_Lake.jpg
You can make the photos any size you want as you have complete control.
Check with your ISP to learn more about how to upload your photos to your own website space you already pay for.

The small picture thing happened to me again at Photobucket and it IS the Mobile version. The browser tabs even say "Mobile Photobucket".
Right at the bottom of the page there is a link that says "View Full Website". Clicking that link will change to the full size Version.
As for using your ISP space, I prefer Photobucket for hosting images for the public. The best reason is I have had the PB acct for over ten years and the pictures are still there and viewable in case someone is searching an old thread. I have probably had 5 different ISPs during that time and any hosted pictures die with the old ISPs.
Another reason is privacy. The one time I did want to use my ISP space the weblink started with my actual name, because that is how that company set things up. I asked if it could be changed and that wasn't possible.
I actually do pay for webspace but I don't want to use my domain names to link photos.
