Although I've been a member for some time, I haven't had a lot to contribute. I am just finishing up a refit of my 18' Outrage that has included a new E-tec, steering, deck cover repairs, fuel tank, wiring....with a couple small items to be finished up such as midship cleats and new decals. Most of what I have done has been helped by checking projects and information on this site, and I couldn't have done it without, so I just wanted to say thanks.
By the way, for decals, Janice at Magic Brush was absolutely awesome to deal with, and I would recommend them to anyone needing decals.
So thanks again to all...and I hope to be able to give back with some of what I've learned putting this 18 back together....
After careful consideration, I went with the E-Tec 150...considered the 130' but opted for the higher HP, to keep lower rpm. Sold on E-tec last year after I was tied up at the town dock where I go in Maine, and an identical Outrage was on the other side with a Yamie 4 stroke....his swim platform was about 3" under water....

Nice! While the E-Tec is lighter than the F150...50 lbs wouldn't make 3" difference on static trim. There must be some other factors at play there.
I'm watching repower experiences like a hawk...hoping to be doing the same with mine in a year or two. Thanks for sharing.
He's correct. The other hull must have been water logged or had something else going on with it. None the less, I feel you made a wise choice with the E-tec.
Congrats!!!!
