Looking through the OEM parts pictures, I'm now doubting that my stainless siderails and bowrail are original to my 1969 17-footer. The hexkey setscrews are not at all like the panheads with the nylon bushings. The brackets seem to be made of pot metal and plated, and are stamped Taiwan underneath. They're old, for sure, but maybe not as old as my 38 year old Whaler!

"She's not old. She's in her prime. She has lovely lines, a bluff bow, and she's fast... VERY fast, if she's well handled." From Master and Commander, regarding HMS Surprise

Got the first coat on deck. Interlux Yacht Enamel, semigloss white. Looks purty darn good! Can't wait to hang the jewelry on her!

Dan,

The inside of the hull looks fantastic...

I'm glad we found out your rails and screws are not original although I'm sure you wish they were.
See the prior discussion on the railing screws here:

Guess I should have added that to the old thread instead of making a new thread. I'll figure it out!

Also, don't forget that you can click on the "Edit" button on any of your post and change that post..
This is a great feature that we have so we all can edit our posts and add something that we forgot..
