I am almost convince it is impossible to mount a kicker motor on a Montauk 150 year 2010 model because Boston Whaler told me there is no plywood backing on the transom for it. They did it to cut cost I was told. Guess I have to rely on tow service instead but in Hawaii when you are trolling along the reef it is nice to have a backup in case your main motor stops so you can get out before being caught by the incoming surf. Tow service will not be timely in this situation.
So one I'll ask one more time if anyone has seen or knows someone who has figured out how to mount a kicker on this model boat.
