Hello members
I was about to buy a 11' whaler but resourcing I'm coming up with some snags.
Serial number was given to me as, BWCK 0492 E 586
whaler has no record of 586,
they have a 585
Advertised as a 87, Whaler says 85
Advertised as a sport, whaler says if it's 585 it's a standard
which means tiller not remote
this boat has remote
attached some pics
can anyone lend a idea?
does this look like a sport, ss or standard?
additional pics avial if you email me
seller is not avail to confirm on his end till later tonight and tomorrow is supposed to be deal day
cheers
eric
E5 = this boat was made in E= May of 1985
86 = should be a 1986 model year
However, this numbers do not seem to be correct.
If the boat was made in E5, then it should be a 1985 year model as the year model would not change unless the boat was made in July of 1985 as a 1986 model year.
See the reference article here: http://www.whalercentral.com/readarti...icle_id=61
Look at the New Year Format on the above link.
I think they may have given you the wrong numbers. They are hard to read sometimes...
