What prop should I use on my little boat 2008 Montauk 150 with 60HP Merc Bigfoot for the following;
First I want to get good fuel mileage and get out of the hole quick for my "daily" use.
Secondly what prop should I use for best top end speed.
I can't tell you what SS prop I have now (as the boat is in storage) but I assume it is the factory installed one.
Tom you seem to know your props so here is the question.
I just want to know what you recommend for both the 2 scenarios above.
Thanks in advance.

A 150 Montauk with a Mercury 60 HP BigFoot should be good for 36-38 MPH, lightly loaded.

The 60 HP BigFoot uses an intermediate size gearcase and a 2.33:1 gear ratio. To achieve the best top speed, I recommend the 13-1/4" x 13" Stiletto Advantage 4.25. You can also buy that same propeller as the Turbo 1 or the Yamaha Performance Series 3-Blade, though the latter uses a press-in rubber hub (which will fit a Mercury).

For acceleration, I recommend the 14" x 13" Stiletto Star 4.25 which is also sold as the Turbo Pontoon 1 and the Yamaha Pontoon Performance Series.

I've never heard of anybody putting a Star on the 150 Montauk and a BigFoot 60, but I am having more and more success using this model of propeller on smaller boats. See this thread for an example:

The factory propeller for your boat is the 13-3/8" x 14" Vengeance which is said to get the boat to about 35 MPH. That's OK, but you can do better. Mercury has absolutely nothing else to offer for your boat except an aluminum prop.
