Gamalot, thanks for bringing to our attention. Has anyone seen this E15 at the pump yet ? I guess i will be watching for the stickers on the pumps that state the ethanol content..

Clearly it is fox news at it's finest. Reminds me of the big deal when cars came out that could only use unleaded gas, whole lot of folks making a lot of noise because Americans can't read. Like having an E-Tec set for XD100 oil but using TCW-3, will void any warranty and burn you engine up pretty fast.
If your car does not say "Flex Fuel" and if it is not on the list as being able to use the fuel, you will of course void the warranty. If your car is designated as flex fuel, then most folks say you should have it tuned to use the fuel so you get better combustion and take advantage of the fuel. You all do realize that E-15 is NOT the same as E-85...right? The number after the "E" denotes the formulation of the fuel expressed as a percentage, so E-15 is 15% ethanol blend, E-85 is 85% ethanol, etc. etc.
Flexfuel vehicles can run with up to E-85 with no prob, non flex fuel vehicles are not supposed to be used with more than E-15, some of them less, some of them more...just read the owner's manual. Kaime is correct, if you can't read or your just too lazy, well, your probably gonna have a lot more than the Ethanol blend of your fuel to be worried about.

I remember about 25 years ago when I worked at a gas station and selling dry gas. There were two types, one had been around for awhile and the other relatively new, isopropyl and ethanol. We had plenty of customers in for repairs that religiously put in ethanol dry gas in their cars.
Just one more thing in an endless list of things the government shouldn't be involved in.

I certainly expected Fox News to get some blame as the Messenger here but that fails to address the stand taken by the AAA and numerous automobile manufacturers who completely disagree with the use of E-15 fuel.
I own 2, 2011 Toyota vehicles and on the gas cap of each it is clearly stated "Up to E-10 fuel ONLY". When I took my Tacoma in for it's Customer Care oil change the service writer made a point of advising me to NOT use any fuel rated higher than E-10 in my vehicle and pointed out the warning on my fuel cap. Apparently, Toyota is ignorant on this subject as well but given the fact that they supply the warranty on my vehicles I think I have to follow their directions.

Folks -- This site is dedicated to the Boston Whaler. We talk about boats, mostly. Regurgitating non-marine propaganda from Fox News is not really our focus.
There seems to be an attempt to create a controversy where none exists.
- E15 fuel is a mixture of 85 percent gasoline and 15 percent ethanol.
- E10 is a mixture of 90 percent gasoline and 10 percent ethanol.
- If a manufacturer says to use fuel with no more than 10 percent ethanol, you shouldn't use E15.
On these points Fox News, AAA and Toyota all seem to be in agreement.
Where is the confusion?

No confusion on my behalf and I am fully aware of what fuel to use in my engines.
To take your comments one step further I have to honestly wonder if fuel that has an E-15 rating is a deal breaker for my warranty then how is it that E-10 is perfectly acceptable?

They are the only ones who will give you a valid answer.
