I decided since I like to fish and hunt that getting linex sprayed in my boat was the best option for me. I have a 1966 sport. Boat has spider cracks on inside and surface cracks. Some have said to go ahead and get it sprayed without filling in the cracks. The linex is waterproof and moisture proof. This is my first whaler. I am not expecting a factory finish boat after this restoration. I will be taping over the hull number so it will not get painted over. Also when you paint the insides on these boat do you fill all of the holes and make new ones or use the original holes. This boat was a sport and someone took out all of the controls. So I am converting it to a standard.
Thanks for the help.
No with the linex you really do not have to fill them however, if it where me, I would grind out all the major areas of cracking and fill them with marine-tex along with the holes.
