i was hoping to find a picture of a morse mt3 control from the underside showing the connection of the shift/throttle. I am interested in seeing the components that might clamp the cables to the lower end the control. I am missing some parts on the lower end but am able to get new ones.

just a note- my control was real stiff both throttle and shifting (got it used), a mechanic told me i needed a new bushing around the throttle arm. he told me this without even looking at the unit. anyway this bushing is not avaliable anywhere i could find, but McMaster Carr has one that is almost a perfect fit for about $25. i fashioned a crude lathe using a hand drill and was able to shave just enough off to make it spot on. my control shifts like new! if you have this problem let me know and i'll dig out that mcmaster part number.

Thanks for any pics or help with connection of mt3!

dana,

You can download the exploded view of the Morse MT3 and also the MT2 in the download section.
http://www.whalercentral.com/download...owstart=15

There is also an installation instruction sheet for the safety switch installation located in the downloads section.
Did you contact Teleflex to see if any of these parts are available?

drandlett:

I have a 1988 Montauk 17' with the original Morse control but I do not know what model control it is. Do you have any idea what model it is ? I have photos of the underside of it. If you think it might be the same model as yours I can email you the photos.
