I recieved my new 19p Stiletto advantage props from Tom W Clark yesterday, so this morning I took both lower units off the engines and did a full reseal on them. I was getting a tiny bit of water in both. I replaced the oil and put on the shiny new props. This afternoon I took the boat out to the lake and tested it out. Tom was right on with the pitch, the engines ran 5000-5100rpm WOT. The holeshot was amazing with the ventilation holes in the new props, the engines wind up immediately, then the props grab and the boat is on plane. The one strange thing is, it is now running 42-43 mph @ 5100 rpm on the gps, not the 46-47mph @ 5300rpm I was getting with the cheap aluminum 21p props. I am not comparing app;es to apples though, I was running at the lake at 2800 ft not in the ocean. I think I will pick up a few hundred RPM at sea level, and hopefully a few MPH. I was able to trim the engines much further with no ventilation at WOT, so I think I will raise the engines one more hole, all the way up and see how it performs. Thanks again Tom.
