I hauled my 18 dauntless to my local dealer (not a BW dealer) to see about installing a 8hp kicker. I have trim tabs and would need to mount a bracket for the motor that gets it out beyone the trim tabs. Main motor is 150 efi bluewater. Because the dauntless has hatch covers it is not trivial to get to the inside of the transom so the dealer declined because he felt that he could not install bracing on the inside of the transom.
Any ideas or helpful comments would be appreciated.
