Anyone Know this guy named Captain Shannon Labauve???? He lives in Galveston Texas. Im just tiring to find out if he really is on the up and up. We were emailing back and forth. Then he just stopped emailing me when it got serious about his boat that was for sale. He's the one that put it up for sale from the get go. Im just wondering if this was just a scam i saw or if anyone knows him and he really is selling his boat. I figure with 24,980 members some has to know him. Thanks for the help all members
Yes thats him. Im just wondering if anyone knows him personally. It sounded like he accepted my offer. He then asked how fast i needed the boat. I told him no rush cause i had to talk to my marina and find someone to ship it to NY. After that he never replied back to me. I have no idea why.
After fishing the morning od July 5th, we pulled into the Galveston Yatch basin. The 27' Offshore was docked at an open slip at the bait camp. I went in, asked where the owner of the boat was and found him on the sidewalk outside. I told him there was a guy from WC that was looking for him that wanted to buy the boat. He just said yea the guy from New York, this boat came from Manhattan and that was it. He didn't seem very friendly, seemed disracted, maybe waiting for clients that didn't show, it was late morning.
I don't think it is a scam, maybe something happened that changed his decision to sell, hard to say.
