Well I did it.I removed my center console yesterday on my 1970 nauset due to water intrusion at the base,lh and rh sides.i am going to repair but I am worried that if I mount the same way i feel it will rot again. We restored boat 5 years ago and already having to do it again.Any ideas or pictures of a way to lift center console about 1/2 inch or so to held keep this from happening. We used marine grade plywood as per boston whaler specs. Can I use solid pieces on the side ?Can i make the teak floor strips taller and mount console up?thanks for any help Daniel of Greenville SC
