Hello,
I just restored the teak on an 1986, 18' Outrage. Unfortunately I dripped teak oil on the fiberglass. Does anyone have a suggestion on how to remove dried oil from fiberglass?
Thanks,
Elwood
Try Barkeepers Friend. I haven't used it on teak oil, but it has removed the ink-like stains left by decomposing black walnut shells. It is an oxalic based cleanser but doesn't contain any abrasives.
Dried teak oil is tough stuff, at least Dallys is. I have used paint, varnish stripper. It scares me, I think the fiberglass is going to melt or something. It doesn't, but I do not leave the stripper on very long. John
