Member Posts: 1 Comments: 0 Joined: 10/18/11	What prop should I be running on a 1987 90 Evinrude pushing a 17 foot Montauk? It had a 17 on it but I was told to run a 19. My tach isnt working.

Member Personal Page Posts: 4280 Comments: 7 Joined: 09/30/05	The most common props for that boat/motor combination are 17" pitch OMC/BRP props like the SST/SSP/Viper or the 13-1/4" x 15" Stileto Advantage or Turbo 1. 19" pitch is too much, regardless or what propeller model is selected. You will need a tachometer to test a propeller.
