Trying to adjust the idle on a 2002 Merc 40~4 stroke EFI. When warmed up in the water it is idling at about 1050. Throttle has full range of movement forward and back. Only adjustment I see on the throttle body looks like a top end stop. Searched here and the net....is it even possible with the EFI? or does the ECU manage that?
I have no experience with Mercury 4-stroke EFI's, but I do have Mercury 200 EFI 2-stroke engines.
The very few times that I have even needed an idle adjustment, it had be done at the Dealership, and the mechanic always used a timing light. It is not like adjusting a carbureted engine.
