Sorry if this has been asked before but I need one of those heavy duty stainless steel bow eyes like on the commercial boats that the navy uses on their whalers. I dont want to buy one from brunswick, I would rather buy one used.

I also need a used center console for my 17 foot whaler. If you have either of these email me.

I apreciate any help or suggestions on how to look for these items if no one has one. thank you in advance.

Josh

Josh,

If you don't want to buy one from Boston Whaler, then you might make your own.
I am not sure what the difference is between the commercial bow eye and the newer style bow eye like the one in our link below which is found in the OEM Parts Photo section:

Why do you need a stronger bow eye? Has your old eye been pulled thru the hull or damaged. See if you have enough space to place a ss plate and make it like washer between the hull and the eye on both sides of the bow eye.

When I had a 17 at Waikiki Yacht Club we used to hoist the boat in and out of the water usind the bow eye and the stern eyes. This was about 20 years ago on a two year old boat. We did that about a dozen times. If it was not designed for that maybe we were lucky that we did not drop it. good lick
