Trying to get a 22'BW from NC to CA without driving it here myself, any suggestions? I have already gone on to Ubid.

I accepted a bid from Ubid. It is a done deal now. So at the end of the month I will have my last Whaler. Hope it is a good one...

Your other post said you bought an Outrage 230....
What did you buy?
1. Outrage 22
or
2. Outrage 230
The above are completely different models and different hulls...

I bought a 2002 BW Outrage 230. 22' 7" I was looking at a 1987 22' outrage in CT but it turned out to be to big of a thrasher for me. I am sure one of the skilled people on this board could make it a jewel again. It was only 10K but they would take 9K. I really wanted that boat but after doing the math I opted for the newer model and different hull. I know nothing about this 230 and am just hoping I did not shoot myself in the foot. It is on an aluminum tandem, bunked, torsion bared trailer. It has a single 2002 Mercury 225hp Optimax saltwater series. I have never owned a Mercury outboard before. I have been an Evinrude/Johnson person my whole life. so I don't know what to think about that motor. This will be a totally new experience for me. My last whaler had the old style hull and I loved that boat. With the cost of fuel now days this was probably not to bright on my part but I started looking on the web at all the changes and something came over me and I bought a boat, and I have never seen it other than pictures. It even sounds stupid. I could not find a 230 on the west coast for anything. The die is cast

Good luck with the new boat! Be sure to change the filters in that Optimax and plugs. It should run like a scalded dog!.

Do you mind sharing what you paid (at least via Private Message)? I may need my boat to make a similar trip next year...and am wondering what I'm getting into.
