I accepted a bid from Ubid. It is a done deal now. So at the end of the month I will have my last Whaler. Hope it is a good one...

Member Posts: 32 Comments: 0 Joined: 03/20/12	I bought a 2002 BW Outrage 230. 22' 7" I was looking at a 1987 22' outrage in CT but it turned out to be to big of a thrasher for me. I am sure one of the skilled people on this board could make it a jewel again. It was only 10K but they would take 9K. I really wanted that boat but after doing the math I opted for the newer model and different hull. I know nothing about this 230 and am just hoping I did not shoot myself in the foot. It is on an aluminum tandem, bunked, torsion bared trailer. It has a single 2002 Mercury 225hp Optimax saltwater series. I have never owned a Mercury outboard before. I have been an Evinrude/Johnson person my whole life. so I don't know what to think about that motor. This will be a totally new experience for me. My last whaler had the old style hull and I loved that boat. With the cost of fuel now days this was probably not to bright on my part but I started looking on the web at all the changes and something came over me and I bought a boat, and I have never seen it other than pictures. It even sounds stupid. I could not find a 230 on the west coast for anything. The die is cast Edited by apogee on 03/20/12 - 9:24 PM
