I've seen all the comments about jack plate do's and don'ts posted. " I'M GOING TO USE A JACKPLATE ON MY BOAT " and raise the motor 2"s . My question is, where is the best water? 3" back? 6" back? I don't want to set back to far my motor is heavy enough 1986 Johnson 120hp with 13 3/4 x 19 49-50 mph gps. I know this boat is faster.

Thanks, R.
