Howdy all first time here. I'm going to look at a Whaler tomorrow the seller says its a 17 foot. I'm not sure of the year or the model? My question is what models are there in 17 feet? What should I look for. Where are the problem prone areas in these boats?
Look on the left side of the screen and you will see under navigation Photo galleries. Hover over that and then click on Whaler Model Year index and it should show you most of the 17's
The early versions were called 16' models and were 16' 7" in length.
The later versions had a name change only to 17' even though they were still 16' 7" in length just like the 16'....
So, the 16'/17' models were the same length.
Now you just have to determine which model you are looking at tomorrow.
Like ioptfm mentions, take a look at many of the different models.
Also take a look in the Personal Page section as there are many models there that have not yet been listed in the Whaler Model/Year index section....
