Hello all -
I'm looking for a nice set of grab rails for my boat, complete with all hardware..any out there? Can these still be ordered from BW or aftermarket? Thanks in advance!
What a great site..I've learned alot, and so much more to learn!
Also , What is the shaft length required for a 2008 8 hp Honda kicker to be used on my Outrage 18? I have the opportunity to purchase a low hour one off a sailboat. I'm wondering if it will be too long? I can call tomorrow for more info.
Thanks ,
John

You can buy Grab Rails from CMI...
Talk to Fred...
Their info is in our Web-less Vendors link on the left sidebar.

I also have a set of fitting for sale if you want to make your own.

Kicker Motor installation can be found in our Article section under "Outboard Motors and Rigging"...

20 inch long shaft kicker motor bolted directly on the transom for the most solid mounting is the recommend way....

Yup-
I downloaded it already..also, I was in FL a few weeks ago and picked up a new, stainless anchor roller assy. at a marine consignment store . I plan to mount it on my teak plate on the bow pulpit. Hopefully this will keep my danforth forward and stowed . I spent alot of time after purchasing the Outrage, last fall, redoing the hauling gouges from PO.
I did the teak over with Sikkens.. I built a Lindal cedar home from Kent, WA, so I was very familar with their product.
I'll need a new throttle cable in the spring.
Oh, the marina is asking $1100.00 for the Honda, low hours, is that a good price?
Also , I have a large deep cell marine battery, which I was going to put under the console, and use as an isolated total loss system for my fishfinder(new) and stereo. I can use a deep cell charger to maintain it. Our summers are short here in northern NY, so if we use the boat 15-20 times a season ,we're lucky. Do you think it's a good idea? no interference from other electronics?
Thanks,
John
