My 250hp 2004 Bombadier/Ficht likes to stall out when shifted into reverse while docking. Otherwise, she runs like a sewing machine..any trouble shooting advice or ideas where to start looking? The plugs are new...not sure where else to look...thanks.

Look for corrosion or stiffness in the shift linkage on the motor. If used in saltwater, the shift shaft o-rings can bind up the shaft with salt buildup. The horizontal shift shaft under the throttle bodies and stiffen with salt buildup behind the plastic bushings.
Make sure the shift rod height adjustment and the shift cable adjustment is correct for your motor.

Hank-
Seahorse is a engine guru and very knowledgeable on FICHT motors. I would take his advice and report back.

Will do. I hooked it up to see if there were any error codes, and all looked good. I need to order a manual to identify the parts Seahorse mentioned....good to know he's a guru, I need all of the help I can get! Thanks again Seahorse.

Also, make sure your sparkplug gap is within specification (0.030).

Lubing the parts usually does not cure the problem, often the shift rod into the gearcase is jammed with salt. Remove the shift cable from the enigne and while someone is turning the prop, you should be able to easily shift into fwd and reverse with only 2 fingers on the shift lever post.
