I just got two new Springfield Newport seats that I think look pretty close to the OEM seats in the mid 80s Outrages. The biggest difference I see is that the arm rests are not as high. They came with adjustable height pedestals.

Here is a pic: http://picasaweb.google.com/vjgrevem/...9835199858

Since it may not be kosher to spell out the specifics here, email me if you want info on where and price. It was a pretty good deal (no affiliation with the supplier).

VG,

The original style chairs are still available from Springfield.
They are called the Yachtsman Chair package....

The Newport seats do look good if a person doesn't want the larger armrests...

The plastic seats are the same molding as the OE Whaler pedestal seats, but they are white not beige. The upholstery is not the same color nor the same quality. Whaler used their own cushions.

Cushions matching the originals can be ordered from Lois Hall of Hall's Nautical Upholstery.
