I've owned about four boats while down there and had a blast. Are you renting a house on Summerland? There are several homes on canals with ocean access all through Summerland. I did last minute boat maintenance in the parking alley since I thought he had a bad attitude the other time we stopped in. Apparently the guy behind the counter was very friendly and didn't even charge beyond the price of a bucket of fish. So they are open and maybe someone else is running it.
