I am trying to determine what the difference is between the 3 models.

E-Tec 150 - http://www.evinrude.com/en-US/Engines...TEC_150_V6
150 BX
150 CX
150 PX

All motors have the same weight, same gear ratio, same 25 inch shaft, etc. etc....
Can't seem to find the info on Evinrudes site......

I haven't talked to a dealer but thought someone here might already know.

Thanks....

Wonder why no counter rotation in Blue........
I guess if you want counter rotation both engines will be white unless you paint them.....

Likely popularity. The blue Etecs don't seem nearly as popular. I usually only see them on single engine fresh water boats. But thats just a guess on my part.

Its still a popular misconception that only the white Etecs are intended for saltwater use.

The white used to be for saltwater and had more stainless steel parts than the blue, including a stainless steel steering arm. That practice was discontinued in 2008, I believe as my 2007 has the 'Saltwater Series" sticker
