As some others on this site helped me with prop selection, I wanted to share my experience. FWIW.
Boat: Outrage 18 classic
Engine: Yamaha F150, four stroke
Prop: Yamaha Reliance Series, 17 pitch, stainless
Results:
WOT: 6000
Speed: slightly better than 39 knots (two way average, via GPS)
Conditions: Ocean bay, very small chop. One person aboard, 3/4 tank of fuel. Engine trimmed.
More generally, with my typical passenger load and fuel fill, I generally saw 5700-5900 WOT.
Good cruise performance. Solid mid-RPM-range performance for water-skiing / tubing.
Hope this helps others on the site.
