i have a 1969 13' sport that needs all the wood replaced. I would like to put it back to the factory standard, could anyone let me know where i could get the original factory diagrams and dimensions for the wood templates? so i can duplicate it to the original form.

I'm a new 1966 13' owner so I don't know much, but maybe the diagram for the 13' sport seats and console in the Downloads area will help.
You can get there by selecting Downloads -> Parts drawings Along the left of the window.
Or use this link - Parts Drawings
Good luck

Hi Gang,
I bought a set from specialty marine, guys are nice, the finish on console I got was pretty rough, they have a shop glue 3" x 1" slats to make full size 12" x 1" seats and locker covers. I guess 12" x 1" or 5/4 x 6 foot is hard to come by or more dollars. I always like philipeen (sp) as it has more red in it, but I hear the wood supplied now is blonder, a light red stain would work, Not sure about african mahagony or Honduras mahagony. Since I bought the retro kit from Specialty, I am concerned with gluing up of slats, a waterproof glue is needed in any aps and with a large body -read-fat me boucing up over waves, I am concerned about the support.
Specialty did a good job on flat work. I call it bright work from the old Trojan days and home Glen L & Chris boats. Eric responded to me about concerns and I am willing to see what we do to complete quality.

Thanks for that update - If you can provide closeup pictures of the areas you are talking about I am sure we would all appreciate it. I have been watching their stuff on ebay and contemplating the plunge for redoing my 13 as a super sport. Its tough to drop a $1000 on workmanship you have not seen in person.

I'm try to find a local 13 super sport owner who will allow me to make some notes on the dimensions of the interior. I didn't think it would be this difficult, but if I am to make some drawings, I will post them on here asap.

I rebuilt my friend's 13' in African Mahogony, the full 12" x 1" was no problem to find at "Wood-ply" Lumber, it was pretty easy work, (easier than my 15' for sure), and I actually enjoyed it more than redoing my boat because, it was easy to refabricate the wood interior, "Whaler" made the 13' like that for a reason, so WE could repair them easily in the drive way, and get back to boating.

The 1976 and earlier 13 foot console was more detailed and a bit more difficult to build that the later ones, but it also was better looking. I built and sold 8, 13` Whaler African mahogany interiors last year, using the dimensions from a `76 console. I drew up some plans and sent them to Joe and Tom, but I don`t know what happened to them. If anyone wants a copy, just email me and I will run off a copy and send it snail mail.
I never drew plans for my Nauset style console for 13-15 footers.

My 15 has the same design that is in the parts drawing download and it was very easy to duplicate. Just take your time and be very patient. I used some of my old wood for a pattern and then used the downloaded drawinf and made a template out of cardboard, which worked pretty good
