Get a Seloc (they publish books for outboards). They are very well written, lots of pictures/diagrams and easy to follow. I had a 1961 75hp Evinrude that I rebuilt three times and just followed the book step-by-step. Had to replace the impeller in my 2006 ETec, same deal, I just followed the book and had no problem.
Not that I've seen (assuming you mean available to download vs purchase and have shipped?). As I understand it, 2008 and newer models are avail on CD for less than the cost of the paper manuals, but older ones are in book form only. Getting the BRP manual is well worth the investment, well written and lots of test procedures not found elsewhere.

Yes, do get the BRP shop manual for your engine. It has all the information and easy to understand. If you get a "generic" brand, you may not get ALL THE COMPLETE proceedures to do what is needed. Well worth the $'s,look on flea-bay under evinrude e-tec, might just have the one you need.
