Member Posts: 278 Comments: 0 Joined: 10/04/05	5hp is the listed maximum but BW didn't list minimum hp to plane which makes me think it won't plane with that hp. I asked this question a while ago and was told it would not plane with 5 hp. You probably need 8-10hp to plane it like the 11 and 13 models. Dave

Realistically to get them to plane with a adult driving, you need 9.9hp, a 15hp is better. But as I do not think they were really designed to plane, find they porpoise a bit. Doel or whale fins on the motor will smooth it right out if it does
