I want to replace the controller for my 1986 90 hp Johnson, I can't seem to find one that will work. The ones I see say 1996 and newer. Has anyone replaced one before and with what type?
You can look on eBay for older Binnacle controls or you could buy the 1996 version.
With the newer version you would need a wire adapter kit which Evinrude does sell.
