I have been with this group for a short spell
And I have enjoyed the varied opinions in finding solutions for the benefit of repairs and updates of my personal Whaler.
Through those short years I've had the pleasure of getting right to the head of the Whaler plant floor and chatted with Chuck about needed parts and back history about my Classic Outrage in dry docks.
I did find Mr Chuck Bennet to be a genuine person and was initially surprised at the extent of his generosity.
In a business as boat making, time is money
And I was truly impressed at the extent of his power of referral and his precise range of information about the venerable Whaler brand.
I would move to nominate him for the next presidential election as his proven qualities in business and PR skills would be of great asset to this country.
My poll will be reaching most of us with comments of their own I am sure.
PS- I hope that Mr Bennet will take this poll as a token of our esteems.
We may not have the latest Whaler jewel but we still love the brand just the same.

Regards,

A campaign slogan of "money in your pocket and a Whaler in every driveway"! should do it for his term in office.

A very good start.
And a perfect occasion to trow in your two bits.
Wish that I could get some anecdotes from the earlier Whaler manufacturing years.
PS- I can only vote once..

I am reading that some numbers have been scanning the post but only 12 votes were cast..
I'd hate to think that the boss wouldn't let you cast your opinion..
Let's see now..How many handles have we got here?

If you dare to care and have some well needed fun on this one Give it up for all of Us, the Whaler name and of course our buddy Chuck who must be totally embarrassed by now.

The increasing vote numbers is an the obvious hint that voting has been cast.
For your information Our Friend Chuck Is still an active Boston Whaler Rep that is still very much tied with the brand in all it's aspects.
And most importantly one of the important voice and attentive ear to the Whaler friends' Owners and Whaler proud sailors of today.
I did thank him for his tireless help and kindness and hope that our appreciation through our testimonials and the very statements inre of what we do like about our classics has never fell on deaf ears.
Let us one more time vote and give our opinions about OUR Models of the Whaler Brand of today as oppose to the era that spawned our own timepieces.
The call will be yours... to voice.
PS-I did ad the Whaler Plant Presidency
Just to make it into more of a Whaler theme.

Thank You
To all of you Whaler Fans.
The results, so far, have shown that Our Friend Chuck would be a very well liked figure managing important duties within a Governmental role in the good ole USA and also Canada.
We could realistically very well use him here North of the Border.
The vote has spoken for itself.

Thanks for voting.

Yours,

Ritz

I have been so very impressed with the newest Whaler 210 Montauk that I will cast my vote one more time if I could that is..
I would bet my bottom Dollar that Chuck had plenty to do in making this traditionally inspired design into a produced model today.
Any one else would care to describe of what seems familiar and a pleasant innovation on this newest Montauk?
In any event Chuck can count two votes from my end here.
PS- And since I did say it twice,It could add up to four more votes.

Just threw my vote in there Ritzy, and would say more, but as my mom always said, if you can't say anything nice etc etc etc. Suffice to say, my vote was for him in the USA!

Good to hear from Duf,
There is ways to say things in a nice way.
It is called today "To agree to disagree"
I still think that certain Whaler CEOs could be an asset to us all here with proven tradition in mind.

Several years ago My family went for the Whaler plant tour. My wife and 2 young kids were the only ones there for the tour, and Chuck did a magnificent tour for us. He was very personable, and knew the answer to any question that we had. More people in business should be like him.

Whereas I think Chuck would make an excellent President I would simply hate to see a man of his knowledge and honestly get corrupted by the majority of the Self Serving Representatives that we unfortunately have in Washington on both sides of the aisle!

Tom, i totally agree. I PM'd Ritz to clarify my position, but knowing Joe, stayed away from going from Whalers, to politics. But since i'm replying, will leave it at, i could't agree more, and if Chuck ran, he would dang sure get me vote. Its one of those, anything but whats out there. Nough said.

Seems like we will all agree that Chuck has done a lot of good services for the Whaler community.
That is the main point of this thread.
Now let's see here, maybe we should start talking about Joe next...

And I would be remiss if I didn't give the nod to Tom in his response.
I did burst out laughing when I read the post.

Are all those votes in?
Looks like a clear pattern is emerging here.
A popular way to say Thank You for all the efforts and answered questions in helping us with the history and origins of our Classics.
A big Thank You from "The Great White North" on behalf of all your Whaler Friends here and south of the border.
Way to go Chuck, keep up the good work.
