Ok guys, this weekend as I was picking someone up the chafe guard on the mooring bitt caught the edge of the dock. When the boat rocked the chafe guard (lip) broke clean off the mooring bit. It broke in a straight line and the mooring bit is still perfectly useable. I have done the reasearch and see that they are no longer available. Does anyone know if Marinium can be welded? I would guess it is like aluminum?? Anybody know someone that is parting out a 22' outrage? Any ideas about what I could use to cover the rub rail seam that is now exposed? Thanks.

Thanks, now the fun part will be trying to get the bitt off. I am sure that the screws will be seized in the aluminum backing plate. This probably should wait until the boat is hauled for the winter, I can see getting started but not having the time to finish for a while. In the mean time if anyone comes across a complete mooring bit for sale for a 22' please send them my way.
