What type of work do you need? I have a 1987 Johnson 150 and take it to Merritt Marine in Hillsborough for a spring tune up each year.

I have my work done in New Bern. I suspect that would be too far for you.

Who do you take your boat to in New Bern? When I take my boat to the coast, I go to Atlantic. Always helpful to have a recommendation for someone down that way.

I go to Jay's Marine. His pricing is fantastic and does good work. He is in Havelock.

I am finishing up my project 13' 67 hull and am going to need someone to mount the motor I have for it. It is an '80 50hp evinrude and the holes don't line up to the holes on the transom and I don't see the big red plug in the motor to connect the controls to, so I want someone to look at it for me and help mount the motor.

I would give them a call. I have had some difficulty finding a local mechanic to work on my 1987 Johnson.

Henry at Mastertech Marine services. He lives in Cary but works out of Rollingview Marina on Falls Lake. He is honest and fair. He has worked on other boats for me as well. Especially, if you have a Mercury, I would recommend him. I live in Cary.
