Thanks for the prompt reply. I now have a problem as I have a 40 HP Mercury with a 20 inch shaft. I believe I have read there is something you can put in the transon so you can use a 20 inch shafted engine. Is this correct, and if it is where do I find it?

Do a search on the website for the Kentfab transadapter. That will fill in your transom and provide you with the correct height.

The boat is at the marina, I am having new gel coat inside and out, this is a total rebuild. I just talked to Jerry the guy working on my boat and it looks like he is going to raise the transom, what I think will look better than the Kentfab product. he will get back to me as it will add to the cost. I have refinished all the wood and shined all the brass, staying with drum steering. It will essentially be a New Used Boat. The quick replys helped me today. I have read alot of posts and learned alot about the boat. I fisrt saw a 13" Boston Whaler in 1967,(yeah weird) and I wanted that boat but never got it. The boat should be back from the marina in 10 days or so and then my fun begins with putting it all together. Thanks again.
