From reading the threads and the owners manual I have found it is preferred to install a kicker directly on the transom.
Well I did this and it left gouges and small cracks in my gelcoat where the kicker bit into it.
I want to put a plate to distribute the force. Anyone have a preferred plate for this application?
Thanks
