Hi Guys,
I just rebuilt the lower unit of a 75HP Johnson and had it painted afterwards. I am in the process of installing it on the engine and I notices that the trim tab marks that I made are no longer visible. Is it of grave concern if I am a little off when I reinstall the trim tab. I don't even see the original scale that was there before it was painted. I would appreciate any advice. Thanks in advance, Ken
Put it on where you think it was.
You may have to adjust it from there.
Remember, when cruising at your normal speed, the amount of force to turn the wheel should be the same in each direction.
That is when you know the tab is adjusted properly.
