Hi,
I boat on Priest Lake, and I have a 82 Sport 15, which I am getting tuned up in Sprint Lake. Though I live in Spokane, WA I spend alot of time in Northern Idaho, shoot me an email wizfe@yahoo.com.

If you plan a trip to Coeur d' Alene, be certain to save time for hamburgers at a place called Hudson's on the main street.
Best burger west of the Mississippi River....

Possibly in the future. This summer is busy for me. Been a long exspensive spring. I will be up that way next summer for sure if all goes well. Sounds like a good trip.

Sorry to jump in here, but I thought you guys would be able to help me out. I'm moving out from Michigan to Spokane in August with my 230 Dauntless. I use the boat for everything from wakeboarding to salmon fishing in Lake Michigan. I heard that Trudeau's Marine in Spokane is the whaler dealer in the area.
Does anybody have any experience using them? Do they have a good reputation servicing whalers and Verados?
Also, I'm already thinking about boating CDA and Pend O'reille and Priest. Where else do you recommend we eventually hit? I rig for Salmon, so downriggers and trolling gear is no problem. Any idea on where that's useful?
By the way, I used to keep my whaler on a boat lift in my lake (connects to Lake Michigan), but now I'm probably going to just trailer it everywhere (I never want to own a lake home again!). I'd love any advice on where the best locations are to launch, beach, etc? Anybody trailer over to Puget Sound?
Thanks!
Shyam

I've got a place on the East side of the State, not far from Idaho Falls. Several good lakes to fish or pleasure boat. Beautiful country, and wonderful people.
Love it here!

I'm in Spokane but don't fish in Idaho. Some people that I know have trailered boats over to Puget sound. There is a long hill going up after the Columbia(Vantage) that you need a truck that is serious about towing(with a large boat) to get past. There is also about 120 miles of desert to go through and a mountain pass. They usually launch out of Anacortes over there but there are tons of places to launch. If you troll for lake trout and salmon the Couer d Alene, Pend Orielle and Priest are good. Also north of Spokane are Loon and Deer lakes that have lake trout. Some of the public launches might be too shallow to launch a 23' boat, so I would advise taking a look at the launches before heading out if I was you. I don't know anything about Trudeau's.

You may also want to try Lake Chelan for Lake Trout, Kokanee and normal Rainbow trout.

Sorry to be so late to this thread but I just bought a Whaler this month (2010 130 Super Sport) and just found this forum today.
I'm down in the Tri Cities, WA where the Snake and Columbia join.
Someone asked about Trudeau's in Spokane being a Whaler dealer. Doug Trudeau is a nice guy, a Sea Ray dealer along with Whaler and a few other brands. I'm buying an EZ Loader trailer from Doug and will be picking it up later this week or next week.

By way of a followup, We took the Whaler up to Northern Idaho in July and boated on Lake Pend O'Reille, Hayden Lake and Lake Coeur d'Alene.
If anyone's interested in checking out the trip, here's a link to a thread I posted on Club Sea Ray about it, with lots of photos.
