A friend of mine has a problem with his low oil, overheat buzzer. When he starts the motor sometimes the buzzer goes off sometimes it does not. Other times the buzzer will go off for no reason (while underway). He has stated that there is plenty of oil in the tank and it is not overheating. Where should he start to look to rectify? Any help would be appreciated.

The oil buzzer and the overheat buzzer are two separte alarms. Which is it?

I have the same motor. "When he starts the motor sometimes the buzzer goes off sometimes it does not." When I first turn the key (before cranking) the horn sounds so I know it is working. Is that what he means? "Other times the buzzer will go off for no reason (while underway)." How often, and for what duration? There are different tones/beeps for different events. Low oil, no oil, overheat. How does he know the engine isn't overheating? There are two sensors. Bob
