Just wondering if the original rear seat cushion on my 1984 CC was white. I need to replace it and I like the look of the one offered by Specialty Marine (BS-1-1). If the original color was parchment, that's what I'd order. Otherwise I may just get the white. Anyone know, or have a bias towards one color or the other?
I'm not a stickler for original restoration. In fact, when I replaced my wood I made my seat back 12" tall and changed the angle to be more comfortable. (That little pissant seat back that was in there always seemed like an afterthought to me! lol) I need a new seat back cushion also, but Specialty Marine doesn't make the correct one for my boat. From what I can tell, the wrap-around railing causes the seat back to be shorter than the 54" seat. They don't offer it and they won't do "custom" orders. I'm considering putting a 52" cushion on there and maybe having it modified locally to actually fit better.
On a side note, the only photo of a 15 Sport CC has a thwart in front of the console. Mine doesn't have it and I won't add one since I like to walk through there all the time. Just wondering if mine was removed at some point or maybe that seat was a factory or aftermarket option?
many thanks
Ted

The cushions were optional and part of the "Comfort Set"..
1. Aft Seat Cushion
2. Aft Backrest Cushion
I would say that the original color was Parchment with Dark Brown Piping.

The front seat was base configuration, most the 15' CC have a cooler instead.

Yes, the front mahogany thwart seat was standard.
The 48qt. Cooler Seat was optional.
Here is one with the standard forward thwart seat.

Many thanks Joe and Dave. I'm going to buy the parchment cushions and hope I can eventually shorten the back rest without destroying it.

Just want to put in a plug for Chris at Specialty Marine. My cushions arrived today (3 days earlier than expected) and they look awesome.
If I remember I'll post back in a year with a "durability report". But my initial impression is "wow, nice cushions".

How about adding a photo of the cushion in your personal page?

Ask and ye shall receive.
BTW, I'll try to get a shot of my boat in the water this month that's comparable to the one other 15 CC Sport that's in the Models section. That might be a way to contrast the different seating options.
