I would like to keep the side console steering of my 1980 13', but I'm looking at getting a new 40hp mercury motor. The dealer showed me how they changed the steering which eliminates the cables/pulleys I have now. Is it possible to fit a updated steering assy. under the oem console? Pics. please if possible. Thanks

Look at what this member did under the console so the new Teleflex steering system would fit.
