I'm preparing to fill the transom holes in a 1987 Montauk ala Joe Kris' article. I really appreciate this site and the great advice. Great article Joe. Thanks.
I looked through the CW discussions on gel coat colors... based on Tom Clark's advice the color should be 1972-1993, DESERT TAN (Spectrum Color). Can anyone confirm this? My Montauk certainly looks off-white to me, however, my wife keeps telling me I'm color blind. When I see blue green..... she's definately seeing something else... and then calls it green blue! Any thoughts or suggestions are appreciated.
Also - It appears that the link to Tom Clarks "complete breakdown of gel coat colors on Classic Whalers" isn't on the CW server any more (see 1987 Montauk Gel Coat Color )
Tom C. - Do you still have this information? I suspect it would be a useful addition to Whaler Central Article files. I would like to take a look at it if it's still available.
