Going to have a 1996 Yamaha 90 mounted on the whaler next week. It has no holes for mounting as they were filled for the restoration.

Any tips on setting up the motor right? What holes it should be in etc?

Owned plenty of boats in my day but never dealt with motor rigging.

Thanks

Read this article in the Articles/engine section thoroughly:

This identical subject was discussed in detail several weeks ago. A site search on "engine mounting 15" resulted in this thread, among others.

The search feature can often answer questions and not result in waiting for an answer.

Still a bit confused.

Anyone know what I should pay a shop to rig it up for me?

Any suggestions on a shop in Charleston, SC?

Seels Marine is the best I have found here in the Charleston area. Good labor prices and honest. If you plan on insuring your 15 foot whaler with a 90 hp on it good luck. Mine had a 90 on it and no one would touch it since its max hp rating is 70 hp. Sold it and moved up to a 17 foot. Lets see some pictures when you get a chance.
