During my normal preseason inspection I damaged the intake screen (part on the lower unit) on my 82' 35hp Evinrude. The screen is somewhat brittle do to the age and I broke part of the screen mesh out along with shank which the screws goes into.
I have checked numerous sites and have struck out as the part is no longer available.
Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.

Disregard, I asked to soon as a replacement was found in Kansas. At a rather crazy price compared to the original but they had something they say will work so it's worth it.
