I can get an incredible deal on 2000 yamaha 100 hp 4 stroke to hang on my 1978 Montauk, I believe it weighs 363 lbs. dry. It had a 1996 75 Honda on it at one time, it didn't seem to heavy. Any opinions on whether it's to heavy, fuel economy, what prop to use, etc. Right now I have an 89- 90 hp Johnson on the boat. I would appreciate any advice, thanks

I've seen several 100 Yami's on the back of Montauks. Shouldn't be a problem.

Looks like the weight of the Honda and the Yamha are close. Fuel cunsumption would be between the two previous motors you had. If its a great deal I would get it on there before spring hits more than it already has. How many hours are on the Yamaha?
