Hello, After reading somewhere here and on Continuous Wave about someone who mounted their filter in the well to the engine bolts, I decided to do the same.
I ordered a piece of 3/16" 316 stainless 12 x 24 cut down to 24" strips. I have 12.5" btwn the bolts and will raise the center span about 2" off the transom and bolt the filter to the stainless strip in the center of this span. A couple of 90 bends on each end at the engine bolts should do it.
Does anyone see a problem with this ? I would rather do this instead of drilling more holes. It's also one less thing to have in the way.
I'll probably have a couple strips to spare if anyone may need. I found it hard to get a small quantity of this stuff and cut to order.
