Take a look at this video below, it's for an Etec water pump but is pretty much the same as your engine. You can skip the part about pressure testing if all your seals are good. Also, get the whole pump kit and replace everything not just the impeller.
When I install a water pump impeller, the important thing is getting the impeller vanes into the pump housing all facing the right way. What I do is liberally coat the entire impeller with hair gel,(it is cheap and slippery and easily dissipates in water). then turn the driveshaft in a clockwise position while pushing the pump housing over the impeller. You will find that the impeller easily slips into the housing with this method.
