Member Posts: 23 Comments: 0 Joined: 08/28/10	I recently purchased a 1989 13' SS with 1989 28 hp Johnson motor. I plan to winterize it this weekend. Can anyone tell me how much gear oil I will need and what's the best stuff to use?Should I try and find the factory gear oil?

Also, I can't imagine that you'd need more than a quart for your Lower Unit. Google a Johnson dealer and call their Parts department and ask them as to how much you'll need.
