I have a 1972 Whaler Sport and I purchased a transom trolling motor for it. The problem I faced was the stern of the boat is curved and it is really difficult to mount and clamp the motor. The clamp does not fit well. I was thinking of purchasing a transom mount but afraid it will ad more weight to the transom. Any thoughts?
