2000 Yamaha 225 Oil Tank level sensor

Member Posts: 36 Comments: 0 Joined: 04/20/10	Have a 2000 Yamaha 225 2 stroke, it appears my oil tank level sensor on the gauge is not working it shows full and am now below half full. Theres two fittings on the top of the oil tank, one is of course to put oil in it, the other has wires going to it which I assume is the level sensor. Is there an easy fix here, is it a float type sensor or something electrical? Thanks in advance. 1989 22' Sentry 225 Yamaha SW
